Located in the West Godavari district at a
distance of 85-km from Vijayawada,
is considered to be the most beautiful Buddhist site in Eastern Deccan. In
this horseshoe shaped valley one can see rock-cut 'chaityas', motive
'stupas' and 'viharas', which predate the
Ajanta
and Ellora caves . Dignaga the great Buddhist Logician is believed
to have lived here.
Rail: Vijayawada is well connected
by rail with all the important places within and outside the state.
Road: Tourists can take state buses or hire a taxi from Vijayawada
to reach Guntupalli.
