Gadwal lies in between the rivers Krishna
and Tungabhadra and is noted for the harmonious co-existence of both the
Andhra and 'Karnatic' cultures. Gadwal has
a railway station on the Secunderabad-Dronachellam section of the South
Central Railway. There are several temples at the place and the Shrine of
'Chennakesava' among them is held in great veneration.
Time For The Festivity
The Brahmotsavam celebrated in honour of this deity for ten days during
February-March attracts about 40,000 devotees from all over the district
and also from the districts of
Hyderabad ,
Warangal,
Kurnool and Raichur.
