Nandavaram is situated at a distance of 8-km
from Panem, which has a railway station. The village derived its
importance from the temple of 'Chowdeswari Devi' and is associated with "Nandana
Chakravarti", the son of 'Uttungabhoja' of the 'Pandava' race.
Time For The Festivity
The shrine of Chowdeswari with a large 'gopuram', which is visible for miles around, is held in great veneration by the local people. About 10,000 Hindus attend the Jatra, celebrated in honour of this deity during March- April.
