The Venkateswara Temple is the chief place
of Hindu worship in 'Amangal', 'Kalvakurthi Taluk', 'Mahboobnagar'
district. The shrine of Venkateswara is located in the midst of rocks on a
hillock, two furlongs away from the village.
Venkatagiri Jatra otherwise known as the Balaji festival is celebrated at
this place for six days during February-March when about four to five
thousand devotees attend the function.
