Jama Masjid is the oldest mosque in Hyderabad.
Mecca Masjid,
which lies within hundred yards to the southwest of
Charminar, is one
of the largest mosques in India accommodating upto 10,000 worshippers.
Chote
Hazrat ki Dargah, also located in Hyderabad draws people from all
over the country and abroad too, especially on the 8th and 10th days of
Muharram. Other than the Mosques in Hyderabad,
The Jumma Masjid,
a fine piece of Muslim architecture in Adoni and the
Deval Masjid in
Nizamabad district are also
famous.
