Himayat Sagar is a small tank named after Nizam VII eldest son, Himayat
Ali Khan. It is parallel to Osman Sagar Lake,
which is popularly known as Gandipet.
A great picnic spot and a lovely drive down is what one can expect from
Himayat Sagar Lake. The whole area is green and fresh during the rainy and
winter season. The grassy area adjoining the lake is an ideal picnic spot
and the road atop the bund can make a good road for a drive.
