It is located 38-km from
Kakinada and 48-km from
Rajahmundry. It is
picturesquely located on the bank of Godavari. It is considered as a
sacred spot because of its ancient temples, which attract a large number
of pilgrims.
Lord Shiva is worshipped here as Sri SomeswaraSwami. The shrine is most
attractive which draws many devotees. The Maha Shivaratri festival is
celebrated here for five days and 50,000 devotees attend it every year.
Rail: The nearest railway station
is at Kakinada.
Road: Kakinada and Rajahmundry are well connected by road with
all-important places in the state. Tourists can take bus from any of these
cities.
