Pradesh is well connected with all places in India. It has varied
means of transportation. Most of the cities are well developed and has
rail route too. There is no part of the state, which is not explored.
There is a great diversity in the transport pattern of the state. There
are bullock carts, cycle rickshaws and also all other modern means of
transport like buses, cars, scooters etc.
It has good motorable roads. APSRTC helps 11 million people to reach their destinations and covers 5.72-million-kms every day. It constitutes 95% of road transport connecting 23,651 villages to all major towns and cities in A.P. They also ply to important towns and cities in the neighbouring states of Tamil Nadu , Karnataka , Maharashtra , Orissa and Madhya Pradesh . There are many private operators who are running buses connecting all the important places within the state and outside of it.
Secunderabad railway station is the South Central Headquarters of the Indian Railways. Vijayawada situated along the Chennai - Howrah and Chennai-Delhi rail route, is the largest railway junction of the South Central Railway. Apart from this other important railway stations are at Guntakal, Vishakhapatnam, Gudur etc.
Hyderabad , capital of Andhra Pradesh has an international airport. It has domestic flights connecting with all-important places in India. Other important airports are at Vishakhapatnam, Renigunta, and Gannavaram.
