Kuntala is a very small village, 11-km from
Nirmal in Adilabad district with
a population of around 145 people. It is situated on banks of river Kadam,
a tributary of the Godavari River.
River Kadam falls from a height of 45m and enters Khanapur independent
sub-Taluk. This waterfall, is known as the Kuntala waterfalls, is the
highest in Andhra Pradesh. These falls
manifest themselves gloriously after the monsoon rains.
It is surrounded by breathtakingly beautiful hills and forests and is an
absolute feast for the eyes. It is a good spot for picnic lovers.
