Kawal wildlife sanctuary
is an abode of birds. The delta region of the Godavari has the
Coringa
sanctuary, which is reputed for reptiles like the salt-water
crocodile, fishing cats and others.

Kolleru Bird Sanctuary is a haven for migratory birds.
