Famous
as a religious center, Parashuram Kund becomes the center of attraction on
the day of Makar Sankranti Festival when thousands of pilgrims visit this
place for a holy dip. A fair called Parashuram Mela is also organized on
this occasion every year in January. This place is also ideal for rafting
and angling on River Lohit. The ruined temple site of Malinithan is a
major attraction for devotees who visit this place and house the exquisite
sculptures of deities such as Indra, and Surya. While visiting
Akashiganga, do visit the waterfalls; it is believed that taking a bath
under these falls will wash away your sins.
