Besides, Masheer, one can catch other game fishes like 'Boka', 'Sal' and occasionally the dreaded 'Gorua' - the fresh water shark.
An angler can raft downstream on rubber boats. Angling is regulated by Department of Forest, Wildlife, Assam, strictly on 'Catch - Record - Release' basis.

Road: Bhalukpung is 250-km from Guwahati and 60-km from Tezpur and is well connected with the two cities by road.
