Constructed near the site of Sher Shah's Fort in Patna, Jalan Museum also known as 'Quila House', houses a rich collection of jade, Chinese procelain, paintings and silver filigree work of the Mughal era. Also visit the Patna Museum, which contains metal and stone sculptures of the 'Maurya' and 'Gupta' periods, terracotta figurines and archeological finds from the sites in Bihar. Do not forget to visit the Nalanda Archeological Museum situated opposite the entrance to the ruins of the Nalanda University and houses. It has got a small but beautiful collection of Buddhist and Hindu bronze and a number of undamaged statues of Lord Buddha that were found in the area of Nalanda and Rajgir.
