capital city of Panjim
has several squares, the houses lining them rising directly above the wise
streets. Particularly quaint is the old residential area of Foutainahas,
which lies behind the

where narrow cobbled alleys weave through a collection of closely-knot
houses with tiled-roofs, over hanging balconies and carved pillars.
