Badkhal
Lake: where the lake glimmers and one goes on the dazzle. The facilities
and services excel. History assigns the area and its legends to the times
of King Anangpal - a chieftain of the Tomar clan who ruled round the 10th
century AD. The august Aravalli Hills that cradle the waterbody, is one of
the oldest mountain systems of the country.
Badkhal Lake came into existence in 1973 when its natural terrain opened
new avenues to holiday in its vast 203-acre property. It charms with its
Minivet huts, splendid gardens in the motel area and its luxurious
facilities. The embankment favours picnic parties with kiosks of snack
foods.
The luxurious guestrooms are welcoming. The rooms on the first floor have
separate small balconies while on the ground floor is a tiny garden, from
where the lake spreads out. Badkhal has also been provided with a compact
and cosy Bath complex. The swimming pool has a decorated water feature, a
sauna chamber and massaging units.
A
luxury yacht ride is not an impossibilty over the placid waters of the
lake. On weekends and holidays, the crowds collect at Badkhal. The
embankment bristles with sellers of snack food. The playground fills up.
The complex also provides essential services like filling station and a
bank extension counter.
Facilities: Two centrally air-conditioned restaurants-Mayur and
Grey-Falcon with piped-in-channel music, Minivet huts, conference hall,
bar, bath complex with swimming pool, sauna, steam bath, massage, boating,
angling, kiosks with eatables, children's play ground, camper huts, A/C
