The Flamingo Tourist Complex came into existence in 1973.
The complex covers 4 acres and lies in the cotton belt of the State.
Hissar is a district headquarters town, coming up as a prominent centre
for Agriculture. Historical Hissar has been identified as 'Isukara', a
beautiful and prosperous city under Kuru Janapada. It fell under the
Nandas and Mauryas but no evidence of these facts are available.
The fort of Firoz Shah Tughluq dating 1354 AD is the first historical
evidence available. Ruins of his fort and mosque with a 'lat' or pillar
are in evidence here. The 'baoli' of Gujari Mahal can also be seen here.
