Magpie
Complex came up in a district headquarter town on National Highway#2. It
began in the PWD Building. Today Magpie has its own wings with a
Convention centre coming up. Magpie is a compact tourist complex with well
decorated guest rooms and also banquet and restaurant facilities.
Faridabad, by all reports, is not a very ancient town. It came up in 1607
AD when Shaikh Farid, the treasurer of Emperor Jehangir built a fort, a
tank and a mosque here. Faridabad as we see it today is a new township and
was selected as a rehabilitation centre for displaced persons migrating
from Pakistan. Today, it is one of the leading industrial sectors of
Haryana.
