Myna lies in the town of Rohtak built in 1987 within an area
of 4-acres. With time, renovations and modern structures have brought
exclusive facilities for residents.
Modern day Rohtak is identified with 'Rohitaka', a place that finds
mention in the Mahabharata. Ruins of the town were found at a mound called
Rohtasgarh. Coins of the 3rd and 4th century have been unearthed from here
that show links of the town to the Yaudheya and the Gupta period. The town
is believed to have been rebuilt by Prithviraj. Old structures such as
Dini and Adina mosque as also the Gaokarna Tank show its antiquity.
