Red
Bishop came up on the Ambala-Shimla
Highway in 1974. Tourism had just spread its wings. Red Bishop
offered simple wayside facilities. Today the Red Bishop complex is growing
in stature. A motel wing, banquet / conference hall, shopping arcade and
health club facilities are on the anvil.
Panchkula is a modern township of Haryana
standing on the outskirts of Chandigarh. A number of development projects
have been drawn up for the town. Already, the Topiary park, the cactus
garden and the modern settings of the town are making it an upcoming
centre. Panchkula is believed to have an ancient history, but no historic
element has pointed to this direction. In the older quarters of the town,
a cowshed is believed to have existed, which was once very famous.
Panchkula has a picturesque backdrop of the Shivalik foothills.
Facilities: Restaurant, bar, conference hall and lawns.
