Sandpiper Complex came into existence in 1982 within a small
1-½ acre area. It was built on land where the effect of the Thar
Desert was evident in the climate and the traditions of the people.
Rewari, as a town, once fell in the domain of Feroze Shah when it saw
days of prosperity. During the rule of Emperor Akbar too it saw progress.
But during 1810-1819 AD, it was divided into districts. Rewari figures
prominently in the first war of independence when Indian troops valiantly
fought the British, from here and Fatehabad.
