Shama came into existence in the PWD Resthouse in 1973. The
area was small- 2 ½ acres - compact and restful, with a large open
lawn. With time, the facilities expanded and till today continue to grow.
The earliest known historic link of Gurgaon goes down to the British in
India when the war for independence was going on. The area fell into the
new state of Haryana. A Shitla Mata temple lies in a village close by,
which attracts large gatherings on selective days.
Facilities: Tourist Guesthouse, restaurant and bar.
