Haryana is a major pilgrim centre of the Hindus and is thronged by pilgrims who consider the land to be very pious as it was at Kurukshetra that Lord Krishna gave the treatise on "selfless Karma". The pilgrim centres at Dhosi Hill and Jyotisara are also famous Hindu pilgrim centres while Ambala is visited by Sikh pilgrims.
