If
there is one thing that can very well define the green landscapes of the
Kashmir valley, it's the Gardens or the 'Baghs'. The Mughal gardens of
Shalimar, Nishat And Chashmeshahi are like perfectly carved lawns with
stepped terraces and flowing watercourses. Acchabal is another Mughal
garden; one can visit on the way to Pahalgam. Said to be favourite
relaxation site of Nur Jahan, these gardens are the best laid out one can
find in the whole region.
