In
the heart of the Bangalore
city is located Cubbon Park, in front of
Vidhana Soudha,
stretching over an area of about 300 acres. The garden laid down by Lord
Cubbon in 1864 AD, has beautifully laid out lawns, grassy expanse and
flowering trees.
The monotony of city life is broken with presence of such a large park in
the centre of the city. Cubbon Park is a joggers' & walkers' delight.
This well laid garden is also a major attraction for nature lovers. The
children's playground provides amusement and recreation to the children.
Near the Cubbon Park is the Nehru Children park (Bal Bhawan) and the
Aquarium.
This aquarium has a good collection of aquatic animals and is a treat for
the children. The Bal Bhawan is full of surprises for the children. They
can swim along a boat, trot up a pony ride.
Chug around in a toy train, wander about in the fore ground and dress up
their mind in the theatre. The Bal Bhawan is packed with entertainment.
