Changdeo is the place where the well-known sage Markandeya
is believed to have practised penance. The place is also deemed holy
because of the confluence of the Purna and Tapi rivers and so pilgrims
visit this place once a year to have a holy bath.
The place is at a distance of about 6-km in the north west of Edlabad. A
fair is held at this place during the month of Magha (January-February)
and about 80,000 pilgrims attend it every year. They mostly comprise of
workers, peasants and majority of them belong from the Vidarbha region of
the state.

Rail: The nearest railway station is Chandrapur,
91-km away.
Road: Changdeo can be reached by taking Nagpur - Chandrapur - Mul
Road. The shortest route however is via Milswali-Sakhri, which is about
