Among the many striking buildings in the fort area, the St. Johns Church is worth a visit. This church is dedicated to the soldiers who laid down their lives in the Sindh campaign of 1838 and the first Afghan war of 1843.

This lively area is the established commercial centre of Mumbai , and it's jam-packed with commuters, street stalls and the grand facades of 19th century British institutions and trading houses.
