The most important landmark of Nagpur
is the historic Sitabuldi Fort, located atop a hill right in the centre of
the city. Built in 1857 by a British officer, this is one of the oldest
attractions of the city.
When one passes in front of the Nagpur railway station via Kasturchand
Park, one will notice this fort, standing on the twin hills of Sitabuldi.
The fort now houses the office of the Territorial Army, and is open to the
public on National holidays.
Nagpur is well connected by air, rail and road with the important towns and cities within the state and also with the major cities and towns beyond the state.
Accommodation is available at the hotels in Nagpur.
