Ramtek is about 57-km from Nagpur
it is believed that the holy feet of Lord Ram and Sita, his consort graced
this place and hence it was named Ramtek. It is one of the important
pilgrim centres of Maharashtra. There is a temple
dedicated to Lord Ram, Sita and Laxman on the top of the hill. This land
has been mentioned as Ramgiri, in Meghdootam, one of the fascinating works
of Sanskrit poet Kalidas.
According to legend, Shri Ram beguiled by the beautiful scenery, stayed
here for sometime. The Kalidas Smarak, which adorns the hill and Ramasagar
Lake, which are located close to Ramtek, are worth visiting.
The Ramnavami festival forms the grandeur of the region.

Ramtek.
Rail: There is a railway station in Ramtek, which appears on South
Central Railway. Regular trains ply between Nagpur and Ramtek.
Road: Ramtek is well connected by road. Maharashtra State
