Taptapani is a natural hot sulphur spring near a small
settlement perched in the middle of tribal inhabited hills in Ganjam
District. The hot water is channeled to a nearby pond to facilitate
bathing.

The spring's healing waters are piped directly into the bathrooms of the
Panthaniwas tourist bungalow, since it is the most practical way of taking
advantage of its healing power. The Orissa Department of Tourism plans to
arrange new bathing facilities directly near the spring. The beauty of the
hills inhabited by the tribal population is an added bonus.
