Religion
is a pervasive in Sikkim and to see its impact on
the daily lifestyles of Sikkimese, check out the colourful Gompas, Stupas
and Chortens. Major religious festivals give way to a spectacular feast of
religious dances known as 'Chaams'. Even if the major part of Sikkimese
society comprise of Nepali Hindus, Tibetan Buddhism is sill followed by
quite a healthy number of people too.
