Jalagampaari waterfalls situated 17-km from Tirupattur in
Vellore district, is a fine picnic spot. There is a Murugan temple beside
the waterfalls, where the deity is in the form of VEL (a kind of spear).
The Murugan temple attracts tourists throughout the year.
Nearby are the Elagiri hills known for its salubrious climate. It has a
beautiful environ and a small lake for boating. The trekroute from Elagiri
hills to Jalagampaari waterfalls at the downhill takes a couple of hours
and is recommended for starters.
Another trek route to Jalagampaari, runs through villages, will take
about four hours. This trekking trial is recommended for normal trekking.
A trek through the forest to reach the peak of the hill is a little
tedious.
Rail & Road: Tirupattur is the nearest town, which has a railway station and is well connected to the neighbouring towns and cities by regular buses.
