Dodi
Tal, the dazzling expanse of water is situated at an elevation of 3024m
above sea level. Surrounded by an extremely dense forest of oak, pine,
deodar and rhododendron, the forest sports a primeval look. The calm lake
owing its origin to several natural springs is filled with fish, including
the rare himalayan trout and is a haven for anglers.
The forest surrounding Dodi Lake is teeming with wild life. The lake
provides an idyllic setting for rest and recreation such as boating,
angling and bird watching.nearby is the famous fisheries centre,
Agora. The trek for Dodi Tal commences from
Uttarkashi or Kalyani, which can be accessed
by road. The trek is open throughout the year.
