May
be not as famous for its monumental glory as much for its natural
heritage, Uttaranchal do have to noteworthy monuments that are worth a
look. First is Lal Tibba
, the highest point in hill town of Mussoorie
. Located in Landhour area, which is the oldest inhabited place in
Mussoorie. Landhour still carries style of British era and it was here
that Britishers first settled. The buildings, and their architecture,
everything over here seem to be telling a tale of an English past. No
visit to Rishikesh can ever get
complete, if one misses passing over the Lakshman Jhula.
