Located
at height of 3680m above sea level, the Tungnath Temple is the highest of
the Panch Kedar. The temple of Tungnath is dedicated to Lord Shiva and it
is believed that the arm of Lord Shiva came out according to the myth of
Kedarnath. The easiest way to reach the shrine
of Tungnath is from Chopta, the nearest
roadhead.
