Kempty Falls
is located 13 kms from Mussoorie. This place
was developed as a tourist destination by John Mekinan after 1835. The
name Kempty, is probably derived from 'camp-tea' as the Britishers would
organise their tea parties here.
At Kempty, water falls from a height of 40 ft giving the appearance of
water jumping and playing on the rocks before falling down. You can reach
Kempty by a taxi or bus and can stay in the Huts.
